About Scott Lasky Photography
Scott Lasky is a professional, award winning photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Scott has photographed more than 1600 Weddings and Bar / Bat Mitzvahs. As a long standing member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Scott is on the recommended list of photographers at most temples in the Bay Area, as well as at many popular wedding sites. In 2022, for the 8th time, Scott topped JWeekly’s annual Readers Poll as a Favorite Photographer in the Bay Area.
Scott discovered his passion for photography during his college days, while backpacking the High Sierra and inside the Grand Canyon. After receiving his Bachelors of Science in Physics at San Francisco State University, he realized that photography was his true passion. Since launching his own freelance business in 1984, he’s never looked back.
Scott was asked to provide photographs for the exhibit Culture and Continuity: The Jewish Journey at the Jewish Museum on Fifth Avenue in New York City. The images depicted different lifecycle events to help animate the ritual art on display. The exhibit opened in 2003 and was on display until just recently.
Scott currently resides in San Jose, is a huge fan of the San Francisco Giants, and has a 172-pound St. Bernard named George.
